About House of Blooms

Welcome to House of Blooms, a women-owned boutique florist in Raritan, NJ, where we specialize in creating stunning floral arrangements for weddings and events, as well as beautiful everyday retail flowers and gifts. Founded in 2016 by Lucy Sandler, our shop was built on a passion for design and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. About Lucy

Hi, my name is Lucy, and I’m the founder and principal designer at House of Blooms. My love for flowers began in childhood, when I would spend lazy summer afternoons picking wildflowers for my mother. I was captivated by the vibrant colors and unique shapes, always eager to present my prized bouquets to her.

My journey into floristry took a pivotal turn during my college years at Rutgers University, where I worked at a local flower shop in New Brunswick. It was there that I discovered my true passion for this art form. I remember those early lessons in design—the excitement of exploring color combinations and shapes—it felt like I had finally found my calling.

Since founding House of Blooms in 2016, I’ve dedicated over a decade to honing my craft, creating one-of-a-kind designs for every client. Coming from a family of business owners, starting my own flower shop was a natural step. I take pride in crafting unique arrangements that reflect the beauty of nature and the individuality of each celebration. Let’s connect and bring your floral vision to life!

About Dana

Hi, my name is Dana, and I'm the owner and senior designer at House of Blooms. I began my journey here in 2018 as a trusted employee and became co-owner in the summer of 2023. From a young age, I’ve always been drawn to the beauty in the world around me. I vividly remember crouching in the outfield during softball games, searching for four-leaf clovers and dandelions while fly balls whizzed overhead. It was destined that Lucy and my lives would intersect, not only in friendship, but in business.

With over five years of floral design experience and more than 15 years in the hospitality industry, I blend creativity with a deep understanding of customer service. I take pride in crafting bespoke floral arrangements that not only showcase the beauty of nature but also tell the unique stories of my clients’ celebrations. Passionate about turning visions into reality, I am dedicated to providing personalized service and exquisite designs for every occasion.

I can’t wait to collaborate with you to create unforgettable floral experiences that perfectly capture your vision! You can learn more about my journey and see my latest floral creations by following my personal Instagram: @danalynkane
